Hi there! My name is Ryder Mawby. I'm an aspiring writer with roughly four years of experience in the journalism industry. Currently searching for a role with the right fit, I'm determined to apply my writing and multimedia skills to create something meaningful and thought-provoking. I view my writing as an artistic outlet to convey my thoughts, and admittedly many frustrations, about the world of chaos we endure.

While I'm constantly exploring new ideas, a few topics I explore throughout my current body of work are economic theory, political charades, and the experience of losing a loved one. The majority of my portfolio is comprised of articles I wrote during my tenure at The Daily Californian, but in the time since I've largely depended on personal writing (pages and pages of diary entries) as my source of artistic expression. Given that I've grown in unexpected ways over the past four years due to a rocky road of trials and tribulations, I'm eager to share my thoughts with an audience, rather than keeping them imprisoned in my worn-out diary.
